"In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends"

Updated: Jun 16, 2020

Individually we often doubt the impact of our actions or inaction. For this reason, it is important to realize that:

"each time a man stands for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance." Robert Kennedy

Now is a time to take a stand for what is right. Here, at Smile N Style Dental we believe that Black Lives Matter always. We stand with our global family in the fight against systemic racism and violence. We stand with the families who have lost loved one to racial violence.

The time is now for us to all come together, stand together, and transform the world together. We must speak up when we see injustice because

"in the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends"- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

When I opened my office in Frederick, Maryland in the Fall of 1996, I was the first and only African American female dentist in the County. I founded my practice championing diversity in all aspects of my office from staff members to my patients. At Smile N Style Dental we embrace and celebrate the differences in all humans and do not discriminate based on race, color, gender, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, ability, or socio-economic background. We pride ourselves in fostering a tolerant, safe environment for all.
