Attention: Blue Cross Blue Shield Members

Updated: May 21, 2020

Effective April 1, 2020, we are in network with Carefirst BCBS PPO, FEP, HMO, and affliated discount plans. As an in-network provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield, patients will receive the greatest benefit of their plan. Typically, the carrier will cover a greater percentage of treatment cost when a patient chooses to go "in network".

Carefirst BCBS PPO members may choose to go to any dentist. However, should a patient choose an out of network dentist they will pay the difference between the provider's higher fee and the BCBS contracted fee. In network, PPO patients will pay only the contracted copay.

Carefirst BCBS HMO members may only be treated by their assigned HMO provider. You must be on a provider's roster to be eligible for treatment. If a member would like to switch providers, they must contact their carrier to assign a new dental provider.

The Carefirst discount plan is not dental insurance. The plan provides members with discounts for services based on fees in the area. Patients will pay 100% of the discounted cost of treatment.
