Important Information Regarding COVID-19
Due to COVID-19, we will be adhering to a strict schedule to practice social distancing and to allow thorough sanitizing between patients. Late patients will be required to reschedule.
Additionally, we are currently limiting the number of visitors to our office. At this time only patients will be permitted inside the office. No visitors will be permitted with the exception of one parent for a minor patient. A mask or face covering will be required in the waiting room.
Your first visit will typically consist of a comprehensive oral examination and full mouth x-ray. This facilitates a complete review of diagnosis and treatment options. The initial visit may also include a cleaning for periodontally healthy patients. Most healthy patients come in for routine cleanings every three to six months.
Dental x-rays are an important part of the first visit because they help us diagnose dental conditions that otherwise go undetected by a visual exam. Current dental x-rays help the dentist to diagnose conditions early when they can still be repaired and treated in a cost-effective manner. Our dental radiology is 100% digital and very safe.
Most adults should update their dental x-rays at least every three years. New patients with a full mouth x-ray older than three years will be required to update their x-ray during the initial visit. Patients experiencing pain may be required to update their x-ray sooner to diagnose a new condition not evident on older x-rays.
If you have any current x-rays to forward please send as an attachment to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note: Individual pictures of single teeth will not be accepted in place of a full mouth or panoramic x-ray.
